It’s the 12th of November 2010 in Bitburg, 9.37 am to be precise. A black station-wagon pulls into the Headdy Headquarters in Johannes-Kepler St.
We’re all a little bit excited. Today is D-Day, the day everyone in this business leaps up & down, and the undoubted goal is “Pure Smoking Pleasure, Anytime, Anywhere!” But first we need to go back in time a few weeks. The number one theme was the “Smokers Award”. This award is issued annually by the German Society for Tobacco, Cannabis & Smokers’ Requisites (DGR) in various categories. Among others, there is a category “Waterpipes, Pipes and on-the-go Supplies”. The innovative Headdy belongs in this category. No easy victory, this award; in fact, the exact opposite. It was in the purest sense of the word a head-to-head race to first place. In the initial stages it was easy to list the contenders; however no-one could predict who the final winner would be. But at the start of November came the decisive call. The spokesperson for the DGR, Mr. Michael Riebmann, gave us the good news. What delight for all concerned! But the DGR wasn’t going to just leave it at that. Again this year Mr. Riebmann personally came by to hand-deliver the award to us. So it was on the 12th of November 2010. But the success of our Headdy isn’t only attributable to us: We would not have had this success without all of you! So here we wish to express our deep appreciation and thanks to all satisfied Headdy customers and Headdy friends. This DGR award has reassured us of the confidence we have in our product, and so we will wind up this News Edition with the conclusion quoted by the DGR.
